Have you ever noticed, in different parts of the city or even parts of your house, or on certain days of the week, long or short-lived problems with your cell phone signal? If the answer is yes, then you have probably often wondered how to improve mobile signal faster. Obviously, the signal is too weak for the conditions and rhythm of your life, and it needs to be strengthened. Try some simple solutions first. The Uctel team provides you with a guide, including useful tips on how to boost a bad phone signal. As a result, you will be able to use your phone much better.

There are several ways to boost a bad signal on your phone

You can boost a bad signal on your phone with a few simple steps. What’s definitely worth trying? Try the following tips from our list.

Check your phone for damage or breakage

Has your phone been dropped in recent times? Even if it looks okay on the outside, some of its insides might be broken. For instance, if the inside part of the antenna is broken because of the hit, it will greatly impact the strength of the signal you get.

Do you think your phone is broken, and why is my mobile signal weak because of this? It’s a good idea to reach out to an expert who can examine your device and find out if it’s functioning correctly.

Apply the latest version of OS

Please ensure that you have the most up-to-date software on your phone. If this is not happening, it means your phone is not working well and has a poor signal. To make your phone’s signal strength, ensure that your phone’s software is up-to-date with the latest version.

Turn off LTE and use the 3G network

Does the top bar on your phone’s display show that you are connected to LTE or high-speed internet technology for mobile networks? It’s possible that you have a poor signal on your phone as a result of this connection.

The transmitter that your phone communicates with over LTE may be very congested, resulting in very poor signal quality or strength. So how to improve mobile signal strength in this case?

Disable LTE on your phone and use the 3G network instead. This tends to be much less congested, and the quality is stronger.

Do you have a reliable Wi-Fi connection? Make phone calls over the internet

Even if you have poor or no signal on your phone, you can still reach anyone and anywhere. The only requirement is a Wi-Fi connection. You can use several smart apps to make calls or send messages. The most popular is WhatsApp, which provides free calls.

Change your phone provider

The last option to boost a bad signal on your phone is to change your phone provider. Does your current operator have a very weak or no signal in the area you are in and where you make the most calls? If so, look for a phone provider that has much better coverage in your area and will give you a superior signal.

5 tips to boost mobile signal and data on Android

A few easy tricks can help with slow mobile data and poor signals.

Sometimes the problem is on the phone side, and a simple reboot can improve the situation. In some places, the problem may be on the carrier’s side.

Everyone occasionally finds that their phone takes an unreasonably long time to load a page when connected to mobile data, or fails to resend an SMS where it used to go without a problem. If this situation happens to you in places with an otherwise normally reliable signal, then try a few simple steps that can help.

  1. Airplane mode. The best and easiest method is to turn on Airplane mode, which will interrupt both your cellular signal and cellular data transmission. You can find the mode in the control center with the airplane box. Just turn it on, let it run for at least thirty seconds, and then turn it off again.
  2. Removing the SIM card. If you still have problems with signal transmission after switching to airplane mode, try removing the SIM card. To remove the slot, you’ll need the metal clip that came in the original packaging with your phone, or a regular pin will do. After removing the slot, check the SIM card to make sure the gold strip is not damaged or corroded by water contact. Then insert it back into the phone.
  3. Restart. If you’re still having trouble, try restarting your phone. Mobile phones are miniature computers, and just like them, sometimes a reboot is enough to fix various minor issues. To reboot, long hold the power button or, for some brands, the power button and the volume down button at the same time. A menu will appear on the screen with shutdown, reboot, and emergency options. Click Restart and wait for the power to come back on.
  4. Operator error. Occasionally, poor signal and slow mobile data are not an error on your phone’s side but may be a temporary problem with your carrier. For example, the nearest transmitter may have malfunctioned. The previous three tips are the only easy steps you can easily take yourself. If the issue persists, try contacting your operator to see if the difficulty is on their side.
  5. Signal amplifier. When everything fails or you live in a place where mobile signal coverage isn’t ideal, you can get a signal booster. There are a plethora of tips on our market, ranging from eight hundred to four thousand crowns. However, it is possible that in some places, even a three-thousand-dollar booster won’t give you as strong a connection as in the city center. An amplifier can help but don’t expect miracles. You should check with your operator before buying, who should be able to tell you whether an amplifier is worthwhile in your particular case.
