Our sloths are working hard behind the scenes to build relationships with as many companies as possible. In some rare cases, you may find that one or more of your providers aren’t listed in the service. If that happens, let us know who you would like to update your address with. We can then support you with how to update them and prioritise adding them to our service.

Your address updates will be completed as soon as you sign your letter of authority (LoA). The LoA is just a fancy term for a document your providers need that says you give permission for SlothMove to notify that organisation about your address update. Once that is complete, your address notification will vary by suppliers.

Some will be immediate, and the longest will take up to 5 days to inform. In some cases, this might take a few more days to reflect in your online accounts. However, your address update will be notified to the company immediately.

  2. Select if you would like to cancel, setup, or transfer your council, water and energy providers (all in one click)
  3. Complete your SlothMove and pay £35
  4. Track your address updates in real time in your moving dashboard.

 

If you’re not using SlothMove, you will be able to update your address individually with some providers online. Others may require you to telephone them, use an app or go in branch to complete the address change.

You can update all of your addresses (DVLA, HMRC, Banks, Utilities etc…) with SlothMove for £35. A Royal Mail Redirection can cost up to £76 for 12 months of redirection. You will be able to change your address for free if you have the time to invest in contacting all of your organisations directly yourself.

SlothMove costs £35, whereas a Royal Mail Redirection costs between £36 to £76. SlothMove updates your address with your companies directly, which means your companies will send communications to know your address. Conversely, Royal Mail will redirect the mail from one property to another for a specified time. 

Royal Mail does not update your address with your desired companies. We think of SlothMove solves the root cause and saves you an average of 15 hours in the process.

A Letter of Authority (LoA) is just a fancy term for a document  that says you give permission for SlothMove to notify your chosen organisation about your address update. It is strictly limited in scope to the companies you choose and the most limited information possible to complete the address update.
