If Shell Energy supplies your home and you move out you need to update your address and let Shell know you’re leaving. This is the case even if you don’t want to take Shell with you as an energy supplier.
This is because Shell will need to issue a final bill (or credit note) if you are moving to a different supplier. You no longer need to call Shell or create an account to update your address, you can actually use our home setup service to complete it within a couple of minutes.

Shell asks to be updated 14 days before the date of your move. That timeframe is actually pretty typical, though some ask for more and some less.
