How Does the New Morrisons More Card Work?
Morrisons recently changed its rewards scheme for loyal shoppers, swapping out the Morrisons More card for the My Morrisons card and mobile app.
With the old Morrisons More card, customers received five points for every £1 spent in store, online or in the cafe. They would also receive five points per litre of fuel and for every 5,000 points earned, Morrisons would give them a £5 voucher.
Now, with the new My Morrisons card, instead of collecting points, customers receive digital coupons through the My Morrisons app. These vouchers can then be used straight away to save money as they shop instore.
These My Morrisons digital offers are personalised according to each customer’s shopping preferences, so that they should receive discounts on products they would usually purchase. Buyers simply need to scan the app at the till for their offers to be instantly applied.
So, you will no longer receive any Morrisons More points when you shop instore or online, visit the cafe or fill up on fuel. If you still have an old Morrisons More card, you can continue to use it to track your shopping so that the offers you receive are tailored to you, but you won’t collect any more points.
How Do You Get a My Morrisons Card?
To get a My Morrisons card, all you need to do is log into your My Morrisons account and request one. You will need to do this yourself to prevent fraud and to protect your security.
Morrisons will then send you a new card and issue a new digital card if you have the My Morrisons app on your phone. While you’ll have to wait a little while (10-14 days) for your plastic card to be delivered, you can start to use your digital card immediately.
How Do I Redeem My Morrisons Points?
If you collected any points before the Morrisons More card was switched for the My Morrisons card, you had until the 9 August 2021 to request your £5 vouchers. These are then valid for 56 weeks from the day they were printed or requested on your online account.
These vouchers can be spent in the exact same way as before, but any points that haven’t been turned into vouchers by the deadline are now void.
